Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a local school district in Scranton, Pennsylvania, for the 20252026 school year. About the Role
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with communication disorders affecting academic and social success. This role involves working closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to each students needs.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students K12

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and district standards

Provide direct and consultative therapy services in individual and small-group settings

Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to support communication goals across the curriculum

Maintain detailed documentation, progress reports, and compliance with IDEA and state guidelines

Participate in IEP meetings, staff conferences, and professional development sessions

Support inclusive practices and foster positive communication environments throughout the school community
Qualifications & Requirements

Active Pennsylvania SLP License (or eligibility for licensure)

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs encouraged to apply

Familiarity with school-based service delivery models and compliance standards

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
